Seeing The Possibilities

I can't tell you how many times as a photographer I've heard someone say that they can't do a photo at their home because they don't have any "good" locations. I'm here to tell you it's not that a great location isn't important, but rather what you can do with the possibilities of the location you have.

Seeing the possibilities is what I do as your photographer.  Your portrait is important so it deserves a creative and eager photographer to help you achieve it! Take this photo for example. I was photographing this little girl inside an old train station now being used as a hotel. As we walked by this location and I spotted the light on the ceiling, the elevator and wood molding behind the benches, and the depth of the room, I knew instantly it COULD be beautiful.

We were shooting modeling shots for this little girls portfolio so of course they were important! I took a moment and made some adjustments on my camera to shoot the photo in such a way that I knew what I could do with it in my editing. Of course, her dad saw the ugly elevator, the sign, the man cleaning, and said "Why are we shooting here?" I said "Because I can see something here you can't"

Life and photography both have that concept in common. Those that learn to see the possibilities always seem to be further ahead. So, think outside the box! Let me help you with your engagement, wedding, or senior portraits. Call me at 269-220-0595 today.
